Kathryn (Katie) Lance
Kathryn is from the USA and is currently pursuing her Master’s in International Peace and Conflict Resolution. She holds a Bachelor’s in German language and Culture with a concentration in French. She has had the opportunity to study in both Germany and Austria as an exchange student, and has also gained experience teaching in France and working in a translation office in Austria. She has recently worked as a Research Assistant at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC, where she examined turning points in transatlantic relations during the Cold War, specifically those pertaining to the German question. She is interested in “incorporating conflict transformation into her future work,” and believes that, “Art and human transformation can have a larger, even global impact.” Kathryn has advanced language skills in both German and French and enjoys learning languages as well as translating and writing.
