CMI works to build a more peaceful world by preventing and resolving violent conflicts, and supporting sustainable peace across the globe.
CMI is a one of the world’s leading independent conflict resolution organisations. It is a Finnish non-profit organisation founded by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, President Martti Ahtisaari, in 2000.
It has around 15 long-term projects in the most difficult and violent areas of the world, such as South Sudan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, the Central African Republic and the Caucasus; and over 75 dedicated conflict prevention and resolution professionals from over 20 different nationalities.
